Inexpert and Unexpected Things.
Written for Reena's 15 Ways For Harry Potter To Hug Draco Malfoy And Live To Tell About It Challenge, only I read it the other way around. So consider this 15 Ways For Draco Malfoy To Hug Harry Potter, only there aren't fifteen. Harry, Draco, PG-13.

and I already flailed at you about this once in a flaily flaily way, but i just wanted to be the first person to comment on this page to say that I think this fic is perfect.

I REALLY DO. THE ONLY THING IMPERFECT ABOUT IT IS THAT IT ENDS. AND I WANT IT TO GO ON AND ON FOREVER. :( ILU A LOT. :(

In which I demonstrate how much more comfortable I am writing gen, ahahaha. You know your flaily flailing is always quite enough for me ♥ And you are too kind anyway, but I appreciate it forever.

Here via [info]bookshop. I fought my way through a horrible hangover to climb out of bed and finish this today and it's completely incredible. Every little piece of detail feeds into gorgeous storytelling. There's so many parts that screamed out as being the best that I couldn't even begin to praise the individual moments.

I love how you keep Malfoy canon - so many people dramatise him and ruin the character - and I love everyone's reactions to him; above all, Neville's. You write all of the characters so incredibly well that it's as though I'm reading an extension of the book. It was completely delightful to indulge myself in this evening.

I grew so sad as my scrollbar reached the bottom of the page and I knew it had to end, but the ending fits so nicely and I'm just aching for you to continue this some day. One word; amazing.

Wow, thank you for this completely wonderful review. I hope your hangover has improved! And I am so pleased you mentioned Neville. I doubt I'll ever continue this, since we know what happened in Book 7 now, but thank you so much for reading and taking the time to review. I really do treasure these ♥

The last scene makes me want to squish those two. I love preslash possibly more than actual slash.

Loved Ron sleeping with crisps, Hermione teaming up with Draco to scare Zacharias, loved Neville freaking out, oh! And of course how Harry meets Draco! I love that you didn't write the Malfoy Manor scene, and Zacharias showing the Trio plus one the vault, Harry bargaining with Scrimgeour for portkeys, and everything everything that you didn't say in the story. :]

I loved it! Great writing!

(I got to the bottom of the page and began reading the last scene and kept trying to scroll down without realizing it had ended.)

I possibly also love preslash more than actual slash, at least when it comes to H/D sometimes! I am so pleased you liked Ron sleeping with crisps, it's one of my favorite things. Thank you for taking the time to leave me this lovely review :D

ahhhhh kara, I loved this, it was such a soft and slow and wonderfully quiet read. what stands out most to me is how important to this fic all the spaces between big events are -- how everything emotionally important seems to happen when the trio & draco are just there, just together, alone with each other, trying to figure out what to do next and, maybe more importantly, trying to figure out how to get along. harry's attempt to reconcile his misconceptions and prejudices with the things he has begun to learn, draco clinging to the last of his pride, ron, ever-suspicious. this was just a lovely fic. so glad aja recced it *__*

I miss hp :(

you know, this is funny because in the space of an hour i dug up a word document from 2007 that contained this fic & opened aja's rec in yet another tab, not realizing they were the same thing. ANYWAY I READ IT and am really shit at reviewing things but I liked it a lot and really didn't want it to end. It was perfectly paced and just right for sitting in my aunts house with no wireless and reading on my bed. arrrrr. harry and draco. <3
